Halle Berry
keeping baby
Nahla under
wraps
It looks like
we’ll be seeing
pictures of
Halle Berry’s
post-baby body
before we see
pictures of the
baby. Berry and
Gabriel Aubry’s
baby, Nahla, was
born March 16
and has yet to
make an
appearance in
the pages of any
celebrity
weekly.
One magazine
editor said that
“photos are
being shopped,
but nothing’s
been settled,”
so we're left to
wonder if Berry
will bring Nahla
to the Halle
Berry Celebrity
Golf Classic on
April 27. At the
very least, the
actress will be
revealing her
post-baby body.
According to Us
Weekly, Berry
wants to be back
in fit form for
the tournament.
“She’s thrilled
to start
exercising
again,” the
source added of
the star, whose
dialed-back
pregnancy
fitness regimen
includes yoga,
swimming and
light weights.
Still, for
Berry, nothing
these days tops
spending time at
home. “Halle
loves being a
mom,” the source
told the
magazine. “She
is so happy.”

Halle Berry
reveals name of
baby girl
It's official,
Halle Berry's
baby daughter's
name is Nahla
Ariela Aubry,
pronounced GNAW-lah
ARE-ee-EL-uh.
Halle spoke with
Access
Hollywood's
Nancy O'Dell
about choosing
the name.
"We didn't have
a name picked
out until just
before we left
the hospital,"
Halle told
Nancy. "For us
it was hard to
name the most
important person
in our life
until we met
her." The
41-year-old
actress gave
birth on Sunday
morning at
Cedars-Sinai
Medical Center
in Los Angeles,
and is now at
home with the
Nahla, who was
born at 7
pounds, 4
ounces.
Halle is “doing
great,” her rep
said Sunday. A
source tells
Access the
actress had a
long natural
birth. It is the
first child for
Halle and her
boyfriend,
Gabriel Aubry.
The couple met
in November
2005.

News
Congratulations! Halle
had her baby.
As a
fan I am very excited and happy for her. She has
accomplished so much and I doubt anything will
be able to top this moment for her and her
family. Star Magazine first broke the news and
People Magazine
confirmed the story with her rep.

Star Exclusive:
Halle Berry
Gives Birth
At age 41, Halle
Maria Berry is
finally a
mother! After an
initial scare
earlier in the
day, Halle gave
birth to a
beautiful baby
girl on Sunday
morning in Los
Angeles.
An insider tells
Star, "Halle
Berry had a 7lb
4 oz girl at
10:17am Sunday
morning, March
16, at
Cedars-Sinai
Hospital in Los
Angeles. The
actress had
checked into the
hospital for the
second time that
day after
feeling
contractions
earlier Saturday
morning.
"Halle had come
to the hospital
at 4am in the
morning because
the felt like
she was going
into labor. It
was a bit scary
because her
blood pressure
was skyrocketing
and everyone was
a little tense.
She's a diabetic
so that was
complicating
matters as well.
The doctors
checked the
fetal heart rate
and everything
seemed okay.
After a while
Halle's blood
pressure came
down. She wasn't
dilating anymore
so at around
2:45pm they let
her go home.
"Halle felt her
contractions
come on a lot
more intensely
later that night
so she came back
to the hospital
at 11:00pm
Saturday night.
"Halle was
overcome with
emotion when she
finally held her
little girl. She
said everything
she had gone
through was
worth that
moment. The
tears kept
coming as Halle
didn't even want
the nurses to
take her baby to
clean her up and
measure. It was
a truly
beautiful
scene."

A
Discussion About
Things We Lost
in the Fire
(20:25) – This
not really a
discussion as
much as it is a
regular
“Making-of” or
“Behind the
Scenes”
featurette on
the film. This
has interviews
with Susanne
Bier, Halle
Berry, Benicio
Del Toro, and
others. They
discuss casting,
Bier’s style of
direction, the
story,
locations, and
so forth. I felt
this was a
fairly adequate
length and it
covered a good
deal of what I
wanted to learn
about.
Deleted
Scenes
(9:26) – There
are seven in
all, which are:
“Neal Does
Mumsie for
Dory”, “Dwayne
OD’d”, “Howard
Tests Jerry”,
“Jerry Makes
Breakfast”, “It
All Comes Down
to the Finish”,
“Family
Breakfast”, and
“Audrey Gives
Jerry the
Cupboad.” Most
of these were
cut for good
reason. A couple
might have been
effective with
some
restructuring,
but others go
off with a
different mood.
These were
interesting, but
better removed.
Theatrical
Trailer
(2:25) – I
thought this was
a very
acceptable
trailer. This is
the type of
story where it
is not so much
what is revealed
that counts as
much as actually
watching the
film from
beginning to
end.
Previews
(9:10) - The
following
trailers will
play once you
insert the disc:
Shine a
Light, Beowulf,
Margot at the
Wedding, and
The Kite
Runner. |

Halle News / Picture
Update
It seems like Halle will be
appearing in new Revlon ads
soon! Check out the blurb
below that I took from
this
article.
|
When asked how
the beauty firm
plans to grow
its brands this
year, Kennedy
said: "It's our
intention to
grow our market
share
profitably,"
referring to
Revlon and
Almay's market
shares as
"stable." The
effort, he
explained,
includes a
consistent spate
of new launches
and a carefully
managed product
portfolio
Kennedy
impressed that
Revlon has a
strong product
pipeline in
place for this
year. For the
first half, the
lineup includes
two major face
launches, namely
Almay TLC Truly
Lasting Color
and Revlon
ColorStay
Minerals, which
will be fronted
by Halle Berry.
Despite Berry's
newly inked
fragrance deal
with Coty Inc.,
Kennedy said the
actress — who
has been a
Revlon
spokesmodel
since 1996 — is
still under
contract with
the company.

Coty's latest celebrity
manifesto: Give them Halle.
The beauty giant has signed
Academy Award-winning
actress Halle Berry to a
scent development deal,
which will involve the star
developing a fragrance
portfolio and appearing in
its advertising.
"Halle is an iconic actress
and symbolizes beauty to
many generations," Steve
Mormoris, senior vice
president of global
marketing at Coty Beauty US,
told WWD at the Personal
Care Products Council's
annual meeting here. "She
adds another dimension to
the celebrity fragrance
market. Halle has always
been a little more
mysterious, not quite as
open with her personal life
as some other stars. Her
fragrances will allow her to
present another facet of her
personality to her fans."
The first Berry fragrance
products are expected to
launch globally in spring
2009, Mormoris said. They
will launch in what Coty
terms "mid-tier" department
stores, such as J.C. Penney,
and then will move into the
mass market as well. "We're
committed to developing a
project that will bring
luxury to the mass market,"
said Mormoris. "We want to
bring vitality to that
market, with projects that
consumers find compelling."
Generally, such celebrity
deals include $3 million to
$5 million up front, with a
royalty of about 5 percent,
according to industry
sources. Mormoris declined
to discuss the terms of
Berry's deal.
While star fragrance deals
are not being announced at a
pace like they were a few
years ago, Mormoris
emphasized that he does not
see a slowdown in the
celebrity beauty category.
"It's clear to us at Coty
that the celebrity segment
is alive and well," he said.
"It's constantly being
reinvented and refreshed.
These fragrances are
entertainment, but in a
different way."
Coty's extensive celebrity
portfolio also includes the
scent brands of Jennifer
Lopez, David and Victoria
Beckham, Sarah Jessica
Parker, Kimora Lee Simmons,
Gwen Stefani, Celine Dion,
Kate Moss and Tim McGraw.
